Responded to no-heat call for a 15-year-old Bryant furnace. Diagnostic testing revealed a seizing draft motor causing intermittent pressure switch operation with audible grinding noise. Further inspection identified a crack in the heat exchanger at the first eyelet from the high limit, presenting a safety hazard. Performed safety shutdown and scheduled follow-up with service advisor due to unsafe operating condition.
