Diagnosed issue with 20+ year old Slant Fin boiler experiencing continuous operation. Located short in thermostat wire between aquastat relay and main floor thermostat, confirmed through continuity testing. Temporary solution implemented allowing customer to control system via breaker until return visit scheduled for replacement of 2-wire thermostat cable.
