Performed annual furnace tune-up on 6-year-old system. Replaced extremely dirty air filter contaminated with smoke residue and soot-like deposits. Discovered rust buildup on heat exchanger and burners with water streaking. Adjusted excessively high gas pressure which successfully lowered carbon monoxide readings to acceptable levels. Cleaned flame sensor rod and verified proper heating operation.
