Responded to no heat complaint on aging furnace system that was repeatedly cycling on and off. Diagnostic inspection revealed the exterior exhaust pipe elbow was improperly installed without adhesive, allowing condensation to freeze and block proper ventilation. Applied silicone sealant to create proper seal on the exhaust pipe elbow and advised tenant about possible need to remove ice accumulation during extreme cold temperatures.
