Diagnosed and inspected furnace that was shutting down shortly after ignition. Observed yellow/orange flames and excessive heat in burner box. Visual inspection revealed multiple pinholes throughout the secondary heat exchanger and condensate backup due to material deterioration. Documented damage with camera and showed evidence to homeowner. Determined unit required replacement due to compromised heat exchanger integrity. Removed existing furnace and scheduled follow-up with service advisor for replacement options.
