7 year old Carrier system - Not cooling well Homeowner stated the system has been running a lot more than usual and they keep the thermostat set on 80°. Humidity in the home is up to 61% due to the higher setting on them thermostat. Filters have recently been changed and this is a zone system. Dirty filters could have been placing the system is a semi freezing state. This system is not designed to handle zoning, so dirty filters could definitely throw the system off along with a slightly dirty blower wheel.
