Performed diagnostic on 22yr old Rheem unit, upon arrival customer stated he had someone out working on unit and the left and wasn’t gonna be able to come back, inspected unit in attic, upon inspection found a transformer had been replaced and also two different capacitor sitting next to unit, noticed unit wasn’t wired properly, also noticed transformer wasn’t wired properly, they had low voltage wired to 208v side of transformer, explained to customer there could be other issues due to low voltage been wired to high voltage, inspected outdoor unit, found not wired properly as well, can see signs of oil at outdoor unit, hooked up gauges, standing pressures at 70psi on a r22 unit, explained to customer unit is low on r22, explained r22 is obsolete, highly recommend install supervisor, customer stated he had a friend that would bring him r22, explained we can’t add it to his system, customer stated he still wanted me to wire unit up properly, pulled all low voltage wires and wired proper
