Sound the unit makes is a sound that coincides with normal operations. Heat pump/air handler equipment blows warm air that likely feels cooler before the refrigerant has had time to absorb heat from outside. Air handler does have a smell. Recommended iWave. Otherwise equipment is functioning well at this time.
