Performed 1 system diagnostics due to a noise complaint. I found that the furnace that is responsible for the noise was manufactured in 1998 and has a failing blower motor wheel that is responsible for making a loud noise intermittently. I also found that the blower motor capacitor is outside of the manufacturers specifications and needs to be replaced. The blower motor and wheel is also impacted with dirt. I used an inspection camera to look at the heat exchangers. I found that the heat exchangers are coming apart and I found were screws that old the heat exchangers together are falling out (see picture). I ran the furnace in heat mode for approx 20 mins and monitored the home for carbon monoxide; the furnace is leaking carbon monoxide into the home (see attached pictures and video). Carbon monoxide is dangerous to all occupants of the home. The furnace is not safe to operate. The furnace is also a potential fire hazard.
