Homeowner has a leak coming from the drain line for the master shower. The leak is coming from the seal for the drain line and shower, on the shower cup Cut out and removed approximately 8” of 2” PVC. Removed failed shower cup. Cleaned and removed old putty and excess debris from flange in shower basin. Applied new putty to new shower cup. Installed new shower cup. Installed approximately 8” of 2” PVC and connected to existing PVC via a 2” mechanical coupling. Ran shower for approximately 10 minutes and filled shower basin to test for leaks. Swapped chrome shower grate for the old one at request of homeowner as the old one is a different color Water pressure in house is 65 PSI Water heater is 5 years old.
