I arrived today to perform a full system heating/cooling with three zones. Today, I observed the condition of the air handler, indoor and outdoor coils, and outside unit. I checked the temperature differential, checked the refrigerant charge, flushed the condensation drain, and checked the filter (clean). Today, I noticed multiple issues that are concerning. I discovered the duel capacitor is below acceptable limits by the manufacturer. This will make the compressor perform harder and shorten its lifespan. I noticed that the refrigerant charge is low which will cause system to operate longer on heating and cooling cycles. Also, I noticed that the condensation drain doesn’t have an in-line flood switch which is a safety device that would activate if the drain line is clogged. I provided all information and options for the homeowner. The homeowner will move forward with replacing the duel capacitor (45/10 mfd), adding refrigerant (2 pounds), and installing an inline flood switch for the
