Main/upper level - Not cooling System not cooling due to a failed dual capacitor on the outdoor unit. This failed component is preventing the compressor from turning on. Also observed that both 16-25-1 filters were dirty. This is a single stage builder grade system that is zoned to condition both the main and upper level. This equipment is not designed to handle zooming and the system will see other premature failures due to this application. Today the homeowner decided to go with option A, the immediate repair. I replaced the failed components and tested the equipment, also replaced the 16-25-1 filters as a courtesy.
