Today we came out for second level not heating. 2008 amana 2.5 ton amana air handler with 2 ton heat pump. Found failed transformer due to shorted control board in air handler. Electrical at air handler is not up to code and needs to be on liquid tight. There is no flood safety and client has duct board plenums. Found biological growth on primary drain pan. In heat pump system found system critically low on refrigerant circuit has leak, condenser coil is impacted and contactor is pitted. Due to age of equipment and condition need to update system. Left band aid option and scheduled install supervisor to give options on updating.
