During our visit, the customer showed us to the water heater. He mentioned he recently noticed some water on the floor around the water heater, as well as inside the water heater jacket. He also mentioned the water heater was 8 years old. I was able to quickly see that the tank was leaking. I spoke with the customer about multiple solutions. I created multiple estimates and presented them to the customer. An estimate was approved for the work to begin. The old tank was removed and hauled away. A new 50 gallon gas water heater was installed in its place. The old Goulds recirculating pump was replaced with a Grundfos Alpha series. The new recirculating pump was connected to the customers phone and set on a custom schedule. This water heater install included new b vent all the way up to the ceiling, as a courtesy.
