Called out to address kitchen faucet that would leak overnight when pressure would get too high. Checked the pressure in the home on a static test and found that the pressure was at 70 but was slowly rising to 80 within a matter of seconds. Also did a dynamic test and found that the pressure dropped from 80 to almost 40 meaning that the diaphragm in the PRV has failed. Gave the homeowner options to replace the PRV and to replace the kitchen faucet due to it being compromised due to the high pressure. Homeowner decided to only go with the PRV today. Begin work by shutting off water to the home and draining system. One system was drain, cut out old single chambered PRV and replaced with a new dual chamber all brass PRV. Once work was completed, reintroduce water to the system and tested for leaks and functionality. No leaks. Bled all air out of the system and checked the pressure on a static test, pressure is now at 65 and holding. On a dynamic test found that the pressure would only d
