Responded to no-heat service call for furnace with intermittent heating issues. Discovered filter had been sucked into blower cabinet, causing operational failure. Removed obstructing filter and observed system operation. Noted inducer motor dropping out after initial ignition during cycling test. Heat exchanger in good condition (stainless steel type). Recommended control board replacement, but customer considering full equipment replacement if issue recurs. System was operational upon departure.
