Performed annual maintenance on 1-year-old furnace, which revealed improper installation of exhaust components. Discovered PVC pipe was not properly secured with glue/silicone to draft inducer, causing exhaust leakage at connection point and 45° elbow. Removed compromised section, installed new fittings with proper adhesive application, and applied silicone around street fitting in draft flue. System tested for 25 minutes with no further leaks detected.
