Call out originally to replace a pre sold gas control valve on a 75 gallon gas heater in the attic. Upon arrival found that the heater in the attic was not up to code due to the burner assembly being in an open chamber, that could potentially could be a fire hazard due to the attic insulation. Advised homeowner that it would be unwise to replace just the gas control valve and to leave the heater up in the attic. Gave the homeowner options for removing the heater and installing a tankless water heater. Homeowner agreed and work was started. Began by shutting off water to the home and draining the system. Also advised homeowner that we were going to be replacing the PRV due to it being located in the incorrect spot on the water lines. When system was rain installed new PRV and can you stream labs smart shut off. Removed old 75 gas water heater and install new Rheem non-condensing tankless water heater in the attic.
