Customer stated that they have experienced poor water pressure throughout the home since moving in approximately six months ago. Today we performed a full diagnostic evaluation of the home water system. Initial static water pressure reading was 80 psi. After running multiple fixtures and retesting pressure drop significantly to 40 psi. To rule out internal restrictions, we inspected all basement water valves to confirm none were partially closed, verify the curve box valve was fully open, and confirmed all accessible supply valves were in the fully open position. Due to the fluctuating pressure readings, we proceeded with replacing the pressure reducing valve, the 4 gallon, thermal expansion tank and the main home water shut off valve. After installation, we retested the system. Static pressure remained at 40 psi.
