Homeowner had TE out to remove the existing water heater from the attic. We then installed a new tankless water heater in the garage. The scope of work involved new water lines installed through the attic space and brought into the garage. Additionally a new gas line was installed from the attic space as well. I pressurized the new gas line to 15psi for 15 minutes to verify no leaks. The water lines were pressurized and checked. All water lines were insulated and then additional insulation was placed on top. I drilled through the garage wall to install air inlet, exhaust, condensation discharge, and relief line. The pressure regulator was replaced and I added a shutoff valve above it. The community is on one meter and the only shutoff is inside the home. The crossover valve was installed on the lavatory in the back of the house. I capped off the old gas line for the water heater. Everything was checked and verified.
