Met with customer and spoke with her regarding the issue they are experiencing. Customer showed us inside and down to the basement. Customer states that there were guests in the basement about a week ago and since then the toilet clogged and is no longer working. We confirmed that the toilet is not draining and then inspected the sewage ejector pump in the basement. We discovered the basin is full and the pump is not discharging sewage. The pump will hum with the float switch plugged in. We also confirmed that the check valve is not functioning properly and the shutoff is an older style gate valve. We presented the customer with options to replace the ball and check valve and inspect the existing pump for any obstructions in the impeller. The customer agreed and after getting signature approval we began work. We removed the existing ball and check valve and installed a new ball/check combo valve. Removed existing pump from basin and tried to manually turn the impeller. Impeller is not
