Customer stated that an GFCI outlet in her bathroom had no power. She said that it had randomly tripped on day and she reset the outlet to no avail. We checked the outlet and checked the other outlet in the hall bathroom and saw that it was in the trip position. We reset the outlet and power was restored to her bathroom outlet. She stated some concerns she had with her panel and how it was a challenger/ Sylvania panel. We informed her that we could do a whole home inspection to cover the panel and the outlets. Customer agreed. We found: - Panel was showing signs of age ( slight discoloration ) - Breaker in panel would not come off without breaking the casing - Double tapped neutrals - Washing Machine outlet was not GFCI protected - Kitchen hardwired appliances are not GFCI protected - Some outlets and switches have short terminations ( Wire on terminal screws ) - Few outlets are used with quick connect - Smoke detectors missing in bedroom and hallway needs replacement - Switch in f
