Customer called due to a leaking showerhead in the bathroom. Performed a thorough plumbing inspection of the home and conducted a water pressure test. Static water pressure tested at 90 psi, which is above the recommended residential range of 60 to 80 psi. Advised homeowner that elevated water pressure can cause premature wear on plumbing fixtures and component, including shower cartridges, fill valves, supply stops, and water heaters. Explain that the best long-term solution would be to correct the pressure issue prior to replacing the shower car to prevent repeat failures. Homeowner declined pressure regulation repairs at this time and elected to proceed with replacing the Delta shower valve cartridge only. Removed existing delta cartridge and installed new cartridge. Reassemble trim, restored water supply, and tested operation. Shower is functioning properly at this time with no visible leaks. Customer understands that high water pressure may continue to affect plumbing fixtures
