Performed 1 system heating diagnostics on a 2019 Lennox single staged zoned system. Customer was stating that the outdoor unit would not kick on. I found that the outdoor unit had is disconnect pulled out. I reactivated the disconnect and ran the system in heat mode and completed the diagnostics. Findings: the system has a new contactor and new capacitors. The strip heat was operating and has the proper breaker size. the unit is approx 200 cfm short on return. The system doesn’t have a bypass damper. The system is a single staged and should be a variable speed. The system keeps tripping out on high pressure. There are no repair options. A new variable speed system needs to be installed with new zoning and additional return. The outdoor unit should not be ran in its current condition. Tech left the disconnect as he found it and advised the homeowner of the issues and that his power bill will be much higher than normal due to only using strip heat.
