The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Replaced 3.5 ton horizontal evaporator coil in attic. Existing evaporator had a severe refrigerant leak in between fins where all the refrigerant leaked out. Removed existing equipment and installed new evaporator coil and cabinet. Connected to existing furnace, ductwork and drain line. Tape and mastic sealed all joints to and from coil cabinet. Pressure tested system with nitrogen to 210 psi and held for over 20 minutes with no changes. Pulled vacuum down to Charged system back to manufacturer specifications with 410-A refrigerant. Tested system operation, flushed drain line and checked final refrigerant levels. Ductwork is still undersized, king valves are still leaking and there is inadequate flood protection on attic system. Homeowner is aware of remaining issues
