Client called in regarding a leak in the front yard. Upon arrival, discovered water profusely bubbling up in a specific spot at a rate of approximately 2.9 GPM. Performed spot excavation to uncover the exact site of leak and inspect proximal pipe for further damage. Found the cause of the leak, remaining pipe appeared in good condition at this time. Cut out the compromised section and fabricated a swing joint type repair using approved schedule 40 PVC fittings, primer, and glue. Eased water back on to the home and allow time for pipe to fully pressurize. Confirmed via visual inspection that there are no leaks at this time. Carefully backfilled hole to rough grade. Bled air out of distribution system before departure.
