I came out today due to the kitchen lighting circuit having issues and when I went into the kitchen all the lights were on and working. The customer stated that this issue started the week of the 6th and she also stated that she had a leak on the next floor and this leak was occurring around the dining room fixture which the leak has been repaired. I went to the panel and found the circuit was labeled located on #16 of the panel board. On that circuit was a standard 15 amp breaker and the plug on Afci breaker was found at the bottom of the panel. I removed the standard breaker and installed the Afci breaker and turned it on only for it to trip indicating an issue. I removed the breaker and wiring and preformed a continuity test between the neutral conductor and the grounds and found that there was indeed a neutral to ground fault.
