Tech arrived and found the unit going off on high limit. The furnace was going off on high limit due to two factors. One there is a supply blowing directly into a return in the main room of the house. Two the unit is operating in high static pressure because of undersized ductwork, causing the unit to overheat Tech also found that the unit was missing TE standard flood protection. The technician quoted repairs and left a flood protection notice note he also found that the drain line connected to the unit had an improper slope. The technician informed the customer of the negative effects of an improper drain line and a lack of flood protection and quoted repairs The technician recommended that an install supervisor is scheduled to come out on site to quote the customer proper size ductwork so the unit can operate properly. The customer initially agreed to getting a quote but later canceled the appointment.
