No heat upstairs system. Heat runs for a little bit and draft inducer motor gets stuck. Customer replaced draft inducer motor himself, and use fireproof cock instead of gasket, and some of the cock got into the motor and make it work harder and stuck. I tried to pull off the draft inducer motor but it can’t be done, due to the fireproof cock applied to hold motor in place. Also, heat exchanger is cracked, blower wheel very dirty and single capacitor weak (reading 8.5 on a 10.0 microfarad). Furnace is over 20 years and not working and can possibly being leaking Co into the house. Due to the age and conditions of the system, the best option would be to upgrade the upstairs furnace, and bring safety, comfort and efficiency back tot he house. Set a lead to quote upgrading the upstairs furnace for today. We should credit 98,00 back , spent today, if customer upgrade the system.
