For this job, I completed a troubleshoot for a ceiling fan turning on randomly and an outlet not working properly. I discovered that the ceiling fan was on factory dip switch settings so I changed the settings on the remote and the receiver. If the ceiling fan continues to turn on randomly, then I would recommend replacing the fan or replacing the remote and receiver. The outlet is not original to the home and was getting power from an outlet on the other wall. The outlet had three wires on it and had bad connections. I replaced the outlet and everything is working properly.
