No heat for the basement heat pump system, due to a bad dual capacitor. Replaced capacitor and system works. Found system very low on Freon, blower wheel very dirty, no drain pan under the system, no flood protection device and condensate pump not wired to the system. Found a leak in the evaporator coil, but can guarantee this is the only leak I the system. System is 13 years old and not cooling well, and using the heat strips to heat the basement. This will increase the electrical bill a lot , in the house. The best option would be to upgrade the system, with 10 years warranty and bring savings, comfort and efficiency back to the house. Set a lead to quote upgrading for tomorrow morning. We should credit 320,00 back to the customer, if he decided to upgrade the system.
