2019 Goodman gas furnace and AC System was not heating previously due to a tripped high limit. The system has tripped the high limit to many times and locked itself out. The homeowner had flipped the breaker off then back on and this reset the system. This is a single stage builder grade system that is using zoning to condition all 3 floors at the home. This is not the proper equipment for zoning and the system will continue to have issues. The heat exchanger is compromised and the system was getting up to 173° internal temperature and tripping the high limit when only 1 zone was calling. Also the lower level thermostat is not operational at this time so that zone is always closed which is also causing the equipment over heat. The real fix for these issues would be upgrading to zone capable equipment such as the daikin fit.
