Inspection - 9 year old Lennox Equipment- Zoned Performed inspection on 9 year old Lennox system that serves all 3 floors, system zoned and builder grade model. System tripped high limit in first 15 minutes of run time. I removed high limit and inspected heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is compromised, the blower motor is over amping, and the blower wheel is dirty. Let system run after it cooled down, after about 5 min the flames cut out and the system displayed a code for dropping out flame. I removed and cleaned the flame rectifier with the homeowners permission to address this issue. At the outdoor unit the system appears to be a bit low on refrigerant, but with an outdoor temperature below 58°, and the charging chart not going below 70°, it’s hard to truly tell if the system is struggling. This particular equipment is not designed to operate zoning. The issues that are revealing themselves are directly related to improper equipment application. Thank you for choosing T.E. Cert
