For this job, I conducted lead detection service for homeowner. The meter was barely spinning at a GPM loss about 0.23 gallons per minute. Homeowner has vacuum breakers on his hose bib that are about 28 years old, soI was not able to introduce compressed air to the line. The service is right at 3.5 feet down at the penetration. I listen to the line from the meter to the penetration and while I could detect turbulence in the line, and a higher residence under a bush in the flower bed approximately 4 feet off of the foundation wall for the service penetration is,I could not hear a definite resonance that would indicate where the leak on the line is. This property is on a hill and the water service runs uphill from the meter to the penetration. There is no sign of water or moisture anywhere in the yard.
