Came out because the customer was concerned about the heat not keeping up. We found that the 70, 0000 btu gas furnace was not large enough to handle the size of the house. We found that the way that the ductwork was configured that it was way to many and to long of duct runs servicing the side of the house that was not heating. The side of the house was loosing airflow completely by the time it made it to that side therefore producing no air. I recommend adding a second system and rerouting the duct work. The second option is to go up in size on the current system. I’m setting the customer up with an install supervisor to come out and perform a manuel J heat calculation to give the proper suggestions as to how get this home heating and cooling efficiently.
