Customer is getting a new gas range and wanted to have the gas line inspected due to age. I pulled out the stove and inspected the gas valve, pipe, and fittings. The gas valve was installed straight out of the wall approximately 12” from the floor. We decided to lower the gas line and change the orientation to make installation of the new range easier and safer. Lengthened the gas line to bring it closer to the floor. Installed new fittings to turn parallel to the wall. Installed a new gas valve. The gas valve and fittings will now allow the new range to be pushed all the way back to the wall.
