Water leak in the yard in front of the home. We found and turned off the irrigation main shutoff near the meter to ensure that this was not and irrigation leak. We excavated roughly 3’ fro, the homes foundation and found a cracked 3/4 pvc coupling. We also found what appears to be an irrigation line in the area, as well as another pvc line that was broken and filled with dirt. This is presumably an old line that is no longer in service. We performed a roughly 12”spot repair using pvc to copper adapters and type L copper piping. We restored water and had the customer purge air from the waterlines by running interior fixtures. The meter’s flow indicator is no longer turning when water is not in use. Leak has been repaired. We left the irrigation valve turned off at the customer’s request.
