- During the annual inspection of the fire extinguishers it was determined (8) are due for additional work and need to install a K-Class new as required per NFPA standards (8) 10# ABC HYDRO TEST (1) NEW 6-LITRE CLASS K INSTALLED W/ SIGNAGE _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ NFPA CODE (Fire Code) Section 5.5.5.3 When a wet chemical fire suppression system is present over cooking equipment, a K-Class extinguisher is still required as supplemental protection.
