For this call I performed a evaluation. I diagnosed a bad furnace control board receiving calls but not able to turn on the blower or the furnace stuck on IDL. I recommended search protection as a precaution in case it was potentially caused by a power surge causing premature failure. Homeowners contemplating having whole home surge protection added. Holding for parts, parts department stated new board can be in as soon as 1/30/26. P&L warranty confirmed by office.
