Mark came in and went through our old system with a fine tooth comb. Mark understood what the system needed to keep it in good working order. He knew the short cuts the previous owners had taken and how to fix them. I appreciate his professional attitude as well as his customer approach to be polite and to keep his customers happy. Came to do estimate. Customers brother tony was here and basically just turned me away saying she will not be updating anything at this point. Explanied the dangers of keeping federal pacific panel. Offered to still do an inspection on electrical system and her brother said that won't be necessary she will not be updating anything and there are no problems.
PTU completed coils line was frozen upon arrival, thawed line out real quick all systems operating efficiently
System functioning. UV bulb out. Federal pacific electrical needs to be inspected by an electrician. Box in garage room, outside, master closet and a small on to the left of indoor unit in the garage. Electrical inspection set 1/22/25 first call. Credit approved per office. If the electrician can add a 50amp pass-through indoor unit breaker that would be ideal. Breaker indoor was oddly wired having a wire from line to load. I removed it the wrong way, wire slipped out of my hand and shorted, tripping 60amp breaker found outside. I was able to flip it back on but felt the breaker is possibly compromised. System came back on. Attempted to wash condenser coils but water froze. Home needs new electrical.
Upon arrival Customer stated system would not shut off, home warranty changed the thermostat and condemned the blower motor as well. During evaluation found that the blower was constantly running because the heatstrips were getting a low voltage call. Traced call to Heatstrips back to thermostat. Thermostat wiring was not correct. Wired thermostat correctly and system ran and cycled on and off properly
Found blower wheel needs cleaning coil does any cleaning and biological growth is starting to grow technician suggest blower cleaning as well as a coil cleaning and install installing a IQ 200 homeowner would like to finance it but does not have a email technician called office to see what needed to be done office, so do we need to wait till Monday to talk to Kandace
Tech check all safety’s, inducer motor, blower motor, gas valve, evaporator coil, pressure switch, drain pro, Compressor, fan motor, compressor saver, capacitor, board, disconnect as well as washing the unit and wax the unit
This home was recently lifted and gas lines were broken. Gave estimates for new gas servicevand two drop repipe. New lines for cook stove and water heater.
2007 5t r22 package. Heatstrips out of tolerance. Evaporator coil leaks detected. Oil spots on compressor. 80mfd compressor capacitor outside of tolerance. Inrush on compressor exceeds manufacturers specifications. Shared with homeowner all video/photo evidence of the systems performance. She agreed that it's time to replace but wanted time to speak to her roommate to come up with a game plan. I offered to push the CA appointment out to 1/22/25 @10 - agreed. Homeowner understands the refrigerant type, parts availability and total performance is a major issue now. Utility bills keep climbing.

Upon arrival tech was shown to the condenser, thermostat and air handler the blower was running constantly. Tech took the door off the unit and found everything was working the delta was working properly tech went to the condenser where he found that the condenser was on and working tech had a couple of recommendations for homeowner
