For this super tune-up I inspected the customer's air handler and condenser, all equipment was measuring with the manufacturer's specs and running well. The customer has lived in his home for 25 years and has never had a duct cleaning so I would highly recommend getting that done to improve the air quality of the home. Since he has an Amana condenser I would recommend adding whole home surge protection to protect the boards and other electronics in the home from power surges and damage caused by such.
We tried financing for a new system through his mom and him. We could not get an approval. This is a 2 ton straight cool with electric air handler r22.

For this job I installed a new thermostat for the customer that has manual emergency heat since that is what the customer wanted. I wired it up according to the instruction manual and make sure it was heating before leaving.
On arrival system running and heating as intended. Indoor unit clean. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing but was overamping on start up. Customer would like to talk about compressor saver kits next visit.
