Evaluation on 2019 Lennox air handler customer states that unit cycles on and off more than she would like especially when it's cold out side and that her electricity bill is high. checked componenets heat strips and system operation the unit is working properly 15 KW heat strip kit is warming the house quickly and cycling off and when it's cold out the temp drops fairly quick and the unit cycles back on. Recommend upgrade to heat pump. Comfort advisor 1/15/25 today 3-5
Arrived onsite customer directed me to the back of home where he had a hose bibb leaking. Went ahead and replaced the hose bibb in backyard. Tested after repairs were Made everything working properly.
Tech talked to homeowner and headed to the attic tech found biological growth in the system tech showed homeowner tech then moved to condenser where everything looked and is working up to techs standards

Performed plumbing tune up. Put draft diveter on water heater. It was not installed when water heater was. This heater was installed by others. No warranty on water heater or vent

Arrived to no heat. Found the inducer motor to be seized due to rust and debris. Cleaned out debris from inducer motor housing and was able to get the inducer wheel to spin with some resistance. Put system back together and performed a function check. Inducer motor is amping very high due to resistance from the corrosion but it is working and heating the home. Inducer motor still needs to be replaced. Customer refused repairs at this time.
Toilet tank was full of sediment, full valve was no longer working properly and supply line was extremely stopped up. Ram water into a bucket to clear out any more sediment. After going thru his heating system i found a high inrush and and dirty return ducts. The system could use an easy start to help with inrush amps and give the system some longevity. Also the cap 70 is ready 66 and should be replaced. The system could also use a duct cleaning. After talking it over he wants to give us a call back after talking with family. This is his parents house.
Customer states that last night the air handler started making a loud “squeaking noise”. Technician checked the blower motor, blower wheel, and heat strips and everything was within tolerance. Could not make the system make any noise. Performed function check in heating, cooling and emergency heating. System is running normally at this time.
Goodman air handler installed in 2007 with Rheen heat pump installed in 2010. PSC blower motor capacitor is weak and needs to be replaced. Evaporator is showing heavy corrosion. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Comfort advisor is scheduled to meet with customer on Thursday morning regarding a while home generator. Customer refused repairs today on the blower motor capacitor.
