Got to His house Is to look at electrical wiring And breaker and the breaker was already swapped out And there was no wiring issue Except A few loose wires from them being Aluminum Just wanted to see if it was something bigger That was an issue Dave done it on their own Before But told me that was all she wanted to look at and that was it
Today I am performed a two system warranty membership super tune-up on heat pumps checked everything indoor and outdoor and heat mode and in cool mode changed the filters flushed the drain lines washed the condensing coils other than some closed vents upstairs out of date UV bulbs in both systems the only real issue I found is the downstairs compressor is over amping upon startup made recommendations to the homeowner however you chose not to go with any repairs today thank you for choosing comfort experts!
On arrival low voltage wires to condenser cut. Condenser coil was very matted. Repaired wire and cleaned coil, system cooling on departure.
Performed evaluation Upon arrival system was not operational Themostat batteries are dead - replaced batteries and system became operational - tested system on cooling/heating Reccomended inducer motor - over amperage Reccomended blower motor - loose rod/bearing Reccomended ingnitor/flame sensor Reccomended soft start kit Comfort advisor scheduled 04/15/25 9am-12pm - indoor unit replacement, outdoor unit recently replaced 410a
2012 carrier heat pump compressor wires burned off of capacitor compressor winding are weak rewired heat pump charge was good fan amps were good. Tested system operation
On arrival system running and heating as intended. Indoor unit was dusty due to dust bypassing filter. Insulation levels low. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. Defrost board functioning but has large heat stress. Contactor buzzing and pitted. System heating as I left.
I completed tune up and provided customer estimate to replace old angle stops.
2/25/25 Arrived for rec work with Ryan Fixed duct gaps underneath the house Removed blower clean from invoice as the blower cannot be pulled due to position of the coil Office to resend financing docs for new amount
Arrived for eval System high pressuring due to air flow issues Ductwork under the house needs serious repair Home owner approved work and wants to check out financing before she puts it on a card Will talk to Ryan to see if we need to order anything for this repair and set up work tomorrow
Arrived for STU filter ok drains clear Heat strip contactor burnt and failed Coil is impacted by dust and dog fur causing ~20-30% efficiency loss Blower equally dusty and same efficiency loss Insulation is attic extremely lacking and should be brought up to code to reduce utility bills Insulation around the metal duct work is missing in several areas resulting in further efficiency loss and higher utility bills System is very likely to be oversized and experience premature failure if major components 4 ton condenser, 5 ton air handler, 884 square foot house 5 year factory warranty expires 3/17/25 System replacement with insulation improvements highly recommended due to cost of repairs and current utility costs Homeowner will discuss options with her daughter and get back to us
Arrived at customers house for cooling tune up North side capacitor out of tolerance replaced pulling 2 for compressor and .5 for fan All other components working in manufacturers spec Recommended anti microbial mist Administered anti microbial mist
