Excellent Quick Service!!!

Service Tech was very professional/friendly and went right to work to fix our furnace. He was highly knowledgeable in quickly figuring out what was wrong. Temps extremes effect my stepdad 82 yro more than most due to previously having had a stroke plus also has ongoing heart & cancer issues. Was very glad to have the heat working again before major bad cold weather hit our area. Thanks!

6/14/24 Variable speed blower motor failure. Tested with my ecm tester to verify. Circuit board even shows fan error code. Heavy communicating system. Variable speed motor rescue motor that was delivered to me was incorrect. Supply shops closed. Put a psc motor in just for airflow. Mark W found a motor that works and I'll install it on Saturday 6/15/24 first call. Mark W will be with me. Pausing.

2 ton Goodman 2010. Homeowner needed me to fix the secondary drain line going outside due to having other home work done that had blocked the way. Cleared main condesate drain line, removing debris and a vacuum. Upon finishing my work, i noticed a hissing noise. After investigation, I found major leak in the coil. I brought it to the homeowners attention with video evidence and a conversation and he agreed to have Rob G see him again (sold 1 out of 3 units in April 2024) on Friday 6/15/24 @10am to dicuss replacement of the 2010 unit. I expressed to the homeowner that I'll work up an estimate for the coil replacment but it does not ensure the performance of the compromised compressor. Homeowner has a for sale sign in yard and the home is empty. Homeowner agrees it's not ethical to leave the new owners with such a problem.

Upon arrival system was turned off due to moisture switch During inspection discovered that the coil had slightly Frozen due to refrigerant levels just being below manufacturer spec went ahead and got refrigerant levels to manufacture levels and system was cooling properly Let customer know that this could be due to every time I check does maintenance a little refrigerant comes out so to watch if this happens again in case we need to do leak search next time

During inspection verified that systems had good refrigerant levels On further investigation discovered that upstairs system at a low capacitor and went ahead and swapped it out under parts and labor warranty and verify that other systems capacitor was operating properly Spoke to customer about getting compressor savers installed to both the condensers to help the compressors operate more efficiently and extend the life of the compressors Customer wanted to hold on for now and possibly move forward at a later date with the purchase

For this super tune-up I inspected both Air handlers and condensers, one unit is only a few years old and the other unit is over 10. The downstairs unit is the older one and on this unit I was not getting anywhere close to a 20° Delta as expected. When I gauged up outside my superheat was extremely high and so cool was extremely low indicating a restricted TXV. Additionally both capacitors were out of tolerance so I recommend replacing those before the hottest months. I spoke to the homeowners about the downstairs unit and the issues with it and they elected to speak to a CA about replacement.
