On this job I discovered and the evap clogged up boliogrowth on the blower and wiring. After talking to home owner he wants system replacement with duct cleaning. Set for tomorrow 10am to 12.
On this job I tested the system in heat and cooling. System did not test in tolerance. Sh 57 Sc 4.5 Blown out hard start Burnt contactor System is falling apart on the inside. He wants to talk system replacement tomorrow 2 pm
For this job, I worked on a double super tune-up on two heat pump systems. I went through all the mechanical and electrical components of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. Filters were replaced and outside condensers were washed. Adding on, UV bulbs were recommended to customer due to biological growth on both of his systems, picture was shown to customer. In addition, a micro airsoft start device was recommended for both units, I informed the customer about the benefits of this device, I explained the benefit of a soft start, low amperage, and longitivity. For this call I performed a evaluation. Homeowner wants a quote for a mini split unit installed in his office for heating and cooling. Main area heating conponant is a gas furnace. Unable to complete evaluation due to gas being completely disconnected. Shop owner is to get in contact with the city to see about getting the gas meter reinstalled. Shop owner would also like to go ahead and have a estimate of a new gas furnace replacement as well.
Performed full tune-up on both systems; units left operating. • Filtration/IAQ: Home uses thin return filters that do not seal/capture well → heavy dust buildup observed at blower motor and plenum (photos taken). Reduced filtration is impacting indoor air quality and efficiency. • Condensate Safety: No drain (wet) switch on primary drain line; risk of overflow/leak and water damage if line clogs. Recommendations 1. Upgrade to proper high-efficiency, correct-size filters (tight seal) to protect blower/coil and improve IAQ. 2. Install drain safety switch on condensate line to shut system off on overflow and prevent water damage. 3. Optional: enroll in membership (20% off and annual inspections) to keep maintenance costs low and prevent future issues.
