After checking her panel it was great all of her connections were tight she has gfcis and afcis her grounding resistance was very low below five I also tested the plugs inside of her home all of which were wired correctly and GFC eyes were in the proper locations
This call I performed a super tune up on the indoor and outdoor unit. All measurements were within manufacturers specs. I repositioned the existing UV light to expose a broader surface area and kill more biological growth I recommended a pan strip and surge protector, customer declined recommendations at this time.
Install and duct cleaning completed, check collected. 36k heat pump upflow with standard filtration, duct cleaning, slab, disconnect, whip, standard thermostat
Ran STU on unit. All heating and cooling components tested within recommended tolerances. Drain line was clear. Found signs of biological growth inside of unit and no hard start. Found no other issues at this time.
Tech arrived at a tune-up. Upon arrival the customer was having cooling issues. The system was evaluated and the panel breaker was found to be tripped. The compressor was tested and failed OHMS test and grounding test. The drain line had visible restrictions. The blower area was dirty and full of growth, there was a copper coil present. The capacitor was tested and within specs. Unable to fully evaluate refrigerant without a working compressor. The outside disconnect was outdated. The customer was informed of recommendations today due to age, condition, price of repairs and presence of R22; it was recommended that the customer speak with a project manager about upgrading to something more reliable with warranties behind it. The customer agreed and the meeting is set Tuesday morning. The breaker was left in the off position upon departure.
Tech arrived 1st year star service call. Upon inspection, the outside system gave a code for high pressure lockout. It was 80 degrees outside. Tested in cooling with a TXV the Subcool was 6 degrees with normal pressures. Heat mode was tested and the system reached high pressure. This is believed to be from the ambient temperature being high. Did not recommend adjusting refrigerant at this time. The system was functioning upon departure.
Brock S. completed annual heat and air conditioning system tune up.
Upon inspection found that water cheater was leaking and caused electrical components to short period. Sold customer basic electric water heater and water heater will be installed on Monday. Found no other issues at this time.
Ran AHC on customers unit. Found leak in evaporator coil, no hard start, dirty coil and blower, and no drain safety. Also, unit runs in R22 refrigerant. Recommended to customer that replacement would be best. Customer declined at this time.
After arrival I started my Plumbing tune up of the home and came across no issues. I did end up leaving the homeowners and estimates to flush their water heater because it needs to be done at least once a year. thank you.
1/14/24 - On arrival system was o but only running the blower. I replaced both heat strip contactors and managed to get the heat strips working but the heat pump did not turn on. Left system heating, Return visit needed to complete
