It’s 11 pm on a Texas night with the temperature outside 94 but feeling like 100 and our upstairs unit wasn’t cooling. I called late afternoon and Colby came - at 10:30 pm. He just left. Provided customer with options he is going through his insurance he said he was provided and estimate for water heater replacement for 1/2 the price and has another estimate coming today. I will follow up with him tomorrow.
For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home, and they told me it seemed like their system was having a hard time keeping up and wanted to make sure everything looked good. At the furnace I had a 22° Delta. The attic only has an R value of about 30 of insulation. At the condenser my amp draws were below the maximums, however the fan was at 1 amp out of 1.2 Max. Additionally when I gauged up I had a 22⁰ Superheat, 7⁰ Subcool, indicating there is a likely restriction developing in the TXV. I talked to the customer about adding insulation and the price of replacing the TXV and how it is not necessarily advisable for a 10-year-old system as replacing would make more sense.
Need to set up 2 appointments 1 for an HVAC tech to come out on Monday after 2 pm and the second being a phone call for me on Tuesday to discuss her attic fans
Callback forgot to put screw back on handle. Customer ordered new cartridge will let me know when he’s ready to get it installed and it arrives.
Inspected issue under sink the clip for the kitchen faucet pull out was loose. Went ahead and adjusted line and reset clip everything working properly.
Need to return Monday 10am for flow tech installation. Will acquire flow tech at supply house before Monday for install.
06/21/24 TS- cleared upstairs drain. Pulled back a wet wipe. Drain is incorrectly put together. Customer declined me fixing for an uncharged so put drain back together as it was after I cleared clog. Informed customer that we will not clear a clog on this sink for a special price again, or untill drain is built right.
