It’s 11 pm on a Texas night with the temperature outside 94 but feeling like 100 and our upstairs unit wasn’t cooling. I called late afternoon and Colby came - at 10:30 pm. He just left. Cold air blowing again. Thank you Colby and Comfort Air. Heat is real here in Tx and Comfort Air delivered. We thank you. We’ve had to replace 4 units at various locations in the past 2 years. Tech arrived at a service call. Customer just wanted a tune-up as the system was functioning. The information was changed. The capacitor was out of tolerance. The contractor is in working condition. The Delta was within range. The filter was dirty and replaced. The blower area was dirty. There was growth present in the system. The drain was clear and bleach was poured. The customer was informed of recommendations today. She decided to move forward with replacing the capacitor and installing a treatment strip to help keep the drain system clean. These items were installed and functional. The system was functioning upon departure.

Tech arrived at a membership tune-up. The customer didn't wasn't the tech to connect his gauges. Upon inspection, the capacitor was within specs. There was a burnt wire on the contactor. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The indoor coil was rusted. The blower area was dirty. The system waseaj searched and all 3 service valves were leaking. The customer was informed of recommendations today. The customer will wait for the refrigerant to leak out and when the system stops working he will call back in about replacement. The system was left in cooling mode.

Tech arrived at a 2 system tuneup. Upon inspection the capacitors were within specs. The contactors were in working condition. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The filters and blower area was dirty. The drains were clear and bleach was poured. The Deltas were within range. The UV bulb was not functioning. The customer was informed of recommendations today. The customer decided to move forward with upgrading the filters and replacing the UV bulb. These items were installed and functional today. The customer also decided add a membership and take advantage of the discounts. The systems were functioning upon departure.

During inspection verified that system was working Discovered that indoor unit was much older then the outdoor and that indoor unit had a lot of build up throughout the ducts and the unit Spoke to customer about everything I had discovered and customer wanted to go ahead and have a comfort advisor come out and talk to her about a new system Set appt for CA to come out April 6th as the first call

On arrival system was running and cooling producing a 20 degree delta. The indoor unit had clear drain lines, a clean coil and a slightly dusty blower. The outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. I recommended upgrading uv systems for better performance and less maintance. When I left system was running and cooling.

During inspection verified that system was working properly Discovered that cap at the condenser was below tolerance and spoke to the customer and alerted her that as soon as it gets hot that the cap would fail and customer stated she needed to talk to husband first before putting on a new cap Customer said they would call back in once they have decided to move forward

Tech arrived at a membership tune-up. It was raining. Upon inspection the capacitor was within specs. The co tractor was in working condition. The refrigerant pressure and Delta was low. The drain was clear and bleach was poured. The heating system reached complete ignition. The system was leak searched. No leak was found identified at this time. Wet coils can affect the leak search. The ductwork and furnace was dirty. The customer was informed of recommendations today. He will wait until the system fails. He is aware that it may be sooner than later and will budget for repairs/replacement. He decided to add a drain treatment strip to help keep the drain system clean. The system was left in the Off position to avoid further damages.

Tech arrived at a 2 system tuneup. Upon inspection, the upstairs duel run capacitor was almost out of tolerance. Both systems condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The downstairs system filter was dirty and replaced. The drains were clear and vinegar was poured. The Deltas were within range. There was growth present in downstairs system plenum. Both blower areas were dirty. The customer was informed of recommendations today. He decided to add a UVC System and Air Cleaner to the downstairs system, as well as replacing the capacitor and cleaning the downstairs system blower wheel. There items were installed tested and functional. The system were functioning upon departure.

Tested all downstairs components all measured within ratings and specs. Refrigerant level is normal. Customer did not have replacement filter will purchase and replace themselves. I recommend replacing upstairs 23 year r22 2 ton furnace system. Slow leak found in system I offered to charge however advised customer economically it would wiser to replace. Customer agreed comfort advisor scheduled for tomorrow 3-5pm.
