Same issues as my last visit in May 2023. Decreased efficiency. Homeowner keeps it at 78° most of the year. She's used a home warranty before but they say the same thing I do and won't fix anything until it's actually "broken". Extremely thorough tune-up on both systems. Leaks found in both coils and heavily blocked. Capacitors are weak. Blower wheels are compromised. Compressors are amping high, fan motors are amping high and heavy biological growth on both system which compromises the air quality. R22 on both systems. Right side unit has a slow drain, homeowner said they'll look into it themselves. Homeowner claims she is not in a financial place to get new systems at the moment. Said to check again next summer. I told homeowner that we can't be held responsible if issues arise after our (second visit) heavy conversation around the systems performance. Multiple large dogs. Declined all work for now.
I added one outside 30 amp 120 plug for their small RV
2013 2.5t hp. Congestion at the primary line main orfice. Cleared with my shop vac. Filter was scrunched allowing unfiltered air to pass building up heavy dust sediment onto the intake of the evaporator coil which is restricting airflow. Compressor diagnostic component at the condenser unit had a 2 flash code indicating intermittent Compressor tripping. History of verified low refrigerant with leaks detected. Condenser unit is not level. Homeowner was with me most the time so we discussed all known and present issues on the spot. Agreed to a CA appointment 7/26/24 @1-3pm to discuss replacement due to efficiency, performance and warranty status. Homeowner to keep the existing UV light purchased on the last call and install it in new system. System functioning at reduced efficiency.
I will be returning on Friday the 26th to install a 30 amp single pole plug under the outside panel
Performed inspection left estimates with customer she has to speak to her husband before making any decisions. Will follow up with customer tomorrow to check back with her.
I've returned to today to install a new fan blade. The system is now back online and cooling.

He needs a fan motor 1075 rpm 1/3 horse. There should be one at the shop. I'm pausing this call for tomorrow rec work 10 to 12 first call.
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. The thermostat was turning off and the system would stop cooling. I found the condensate drain line to be clogged and was tripping the float switch. I shared my findings with the homeowner and he wanted me to clear the drain. I blew out the clog and then put a antimicrobial pan treatment bar into the drain pan. I followed with pouring two gallons of water down the drain line which flowed put unimpeded. System was cooling when I left.

Her outside GFCI needs work and a diagnostic does need to be performed to find out why a light is out for most of the time but shes a little busy at the moment and can't get the work done
Single pole was bad. Replaced and wired correctly.
Primary drain major blockage. Investigation determined that the master bath sink Ptrap was blocked pushing condesate water back into the system which diverted to the secondary line into the pan. I use shop vacuum to clear out water in the emergency pan, and both Primary and secondary lines on both systems. It seems the secondary line on both systems tied together and used the overflow line outside. So I put much focus on both condesate systems. Homeowner claims that for years she thought it was normal and until it became more of a flow instead of a drip is when she thought there was a problem. Both Primary lines are clear. Assembly under sink is clear. Condesate water flowing correctly.
Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowners. Master bedroom outdoor unit was not coming on. I diagnosed a failed auxiliary motor starter which was preventing the unit from operating. I replaced the part under warranty P&L. System was cooling when I left.
6/29/24 Will need to return on Wednesday the 3rd as there is a problem with the wiring on the shell of some lights but the attic isn't safe at this time of day
