Excellent service!

Jose G and Pablo installed an entire unit and we’re in and out in just over two hours! I’ve used other companies in the area and they’re a joke compared to comfort experts! I won’t use anyone else for hvac needs

Continued great service from Hobson Heating & Air.

Mark has been our service tech the last few times, and he’s been great. Very thorough, explanation of maintenance available and service provided. And, Hobson was able to work him in on an impromptu scheduling scenario that worked for all of us.

Outstanding and Thorough Service

Our propane furnace would not start up on one of the colder days this winter. Justin P. found that condensation had built up and prevented the lighting of the unit. Not only did he fix the immediate issue, he climbed deep into my attic to find the p-trap that was preventing condensate from draining. From now on, I want Justin to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on my two heat and a/c units -- because I know he will take the time to ensure that this equipment remains failure free. Justin P, Comfort Experts, has my trust.

For this job lineset was sold but there was no way to run it. So we did a pressure test found the leak was at the piston connection. Unconnected the piston and found to gaskets on it. Took them off put a new one on. Also noticed the threads were de threaded as well but was able to screw and tighten the seal. Did a pressure test and it was great. Added refrigerant and check the super heat and charge is good and in range and temp difference frome supply and return are 18 degree difference.

Estimate to replace current anode rod inside water heater to aluminum zinc anode rod to get rid of rotten egg smell.

AC repair. Arrived to find the ac system wasn't cooling. Found the primary drain had a blockage. Cleared drain and installed drain treatment. Upon start up of the system found subcooling to be high at 31 and superheat to also be high at 28. Adjusted the TXV bulb and temperatures improved slightly.

Upon arrival Customer stated lighting strike hit close by home during recent storm, replaced multiple breakers in home and had 24 volt transformer replaced. Thermostat still would not come on, replaced Thermostat and still nothing worked. Double checked new 24volt transformer, transformer working properly. Noticed fuse at transformer was blown. After isolation of low voltage wires fuse would still blow from the main circuit board. Board possibly has been damaged by recent surge. Possibilities of outdoor and ECM motor in furnace is bad as well. Cannot further evaluate system until main circuit bord replacement. Customer stated they will talk to insurance company and see what they will do.

Arrived to no cool. Found high voltage going into the transformer but nothing coming from the low voltage side. Replaced transformer with in line low voltage fuse. Put power to system and fuse popped. Checked outdoor contactor and the thermostat. Thermostat has obvious burn marks and was not responsive. Customer approved changing the transformer but not the thermostat. System is still down due to thermostat not working.

System was freezing during operation when I arrived shut off hooked up gauges turned back measured .9 subcool and eventually fell below negative. Leak on evaporator coil found recommend replacement of the system if not then estimates for repair have been emailed. Customer wants to at least ask home warranty if they will cover the repair. Signed up for home and budget protection plan.

After opening up the main panel I realized that all of his eating chgfci and afci breakers were right next to each other producing quite a bit of heat but he does not have the space to separate them out we talked about this and I showed him what kind of breaker we would be replacing it with if we needed to replace it so he bought a surplus and if whenever he needs to change them out he will be calling us

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home, I meant Mr Allison and he guided me inside to the thermostat and access to the indoor unit. It was a 2-year-old heat pump and I started my tune up inside in the Attic. When I got to the indoor unit I replaced the filter, found the evaporator coil to be clean with no signs of corrosion, the blower wheel was clean and the blower motor look to be in good condition. The drain pan was clean and the drain lines were in good condition as well. I then headed downstairs to the outdoor unit, there was a compressor saver installed as well as a surge protector. The inrush amp test for the compressor came back below specifications according to the data tag, the running amps test on the compressor and fan motor both came back well below specifications according to the data tag. The contactor was in good condition, and the electrical box was clean. When I took my refrigerant readings I found the charge on the system to be at good levels, overall the system is in
