Hernan and Ivan got here early and got right to work. They worked diligently in a very hot attic and out in the summer Texas heat for several hours. They got rid of the old system, then got the new system up and running ASAP. They knew their craft and were careful to not make a mess and to clean up thoroughly - inside and out. Hobson’s did a great job of getting a service tech out on Sunday on short notice. (Full disclosure - we pay $20 / mos. for benefits like this. It’s the best $20 I pay each month.) The new unit was running by 3:00 today (Monday). Point of interest…at 3:00 today it was warmer in my home (94 degrees) than it was in Amarillo (90 degrees). At 5:00 it’s down to 85!!

Our A/C unit went out and I called Hobsons at about 11:00. They had a technician out the same day.....Zak didn't get here until 7:30 pm, but he was incredibly upbeat and personable. (He actually told us he might be working until midnight!) He got our unit back up and running. Glad to be a part of the Hobson's "frequent-flyer" program.

Came to house for lights flickering and kitchen and sometimes not working and when I got there they were not working at all and then took panel cover off and ended up just pushing the breakers and they came back on and did pulling the breaker off and found that it had corroded and burnt up on the back of the breakers so talk to customer about replacing breaker and also talked about a bunch of other things but customer wasn't interested in them right now also talked about membership as well to get discount on it but he was not interested in that right now either but emailed everything to them
For this job, I worked on a super tune up on this gas furnace system. I went through both sides of the system, cooling and heating. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. Outside condenser was washed and filter inside the system was checked. On arrival downstairs unit producing 17 degrees of cooling while upstairs only produced 11. Upstairs unit has bacterial growth in coil area, downstairs is clean and in good condition. Outdoor units passed all electrical testing. Found upstairs unit with a 1.5 subcool and a 40 superheat, verifying that the system is low on refridgerant. The evaporator coil while running is around 32 degrees and is likely to freeze up with continued use. Advised customer and she will pass info along to husband.
