2017 5t dual fuel attic horizontal. Manufacturers warranty expired. Filter replaced. Drain line has no saftey switch which impending water damage can occure. Gas line has no sediment trap which adds buildup to gas furnace components. Ducting needs to be resealed, lots of energy loss. Oil found below blower but could not locate origin. Blower wheel has a layer of buildup which restricts optimal airflow. Evaporator coil is dirty which restrics optimal airflow. Condenser unit coil found broken at the bottom. Inrush amperage on compressor exceeds manufacturers specifications. Refrigerant charge is below tolerance. Due to the amount of issues surrounding a proper system restoration, homeowner agreed to visit with a CA 4/10/25 @5pm to compare repair to replacement. Estimate built and can be shared with homeowner on CA appointment. System functioning but diminishing in performance.
Super tune performed today on a one year old Amana heat pump with air handler. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Ecm blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Outdoor unit was washed and waxed. System running and cooling the home upon departure.
Upon technician's arrival, technician found blower needs cleaning. There is no ceiling protection as well. As inrush amps on the compressor is really high. Tech found rust on evap coil tech did a leak test tech found no leak. Tech is emailing the forms to home owner as well as estimates
I have repaired a light in the attic and a plug in the kitchen the panel looked great and the solar is doing optimally

Compressor inrush amperage exceeds manufacturers specifications, helped only by a start capacitor. Dual run Compressor side failing. Federal pacific disconnect. Fan motor has high amps. Refrigerant levels below manufacturers specifications. Condenser taken apart and cleaned. Homeowner was by my side for the duration.
