Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowners. Last time I was here I was told by the office that I was running a evaluation on the system and they used one of the tune up calls to make the service fee free. Customer brought up to the office that he hasn't had a tune up since last October, I decided to run a super tune for the customer today and apologized for the miscommunication on our part. The filter was clean, the return plenum was clean, the blower wheel had minimal dust buildup, the blower motornwas in good condition and the motor capacitor was within tolerance. The furnace went through all of its safeties and began to function with no issue. The evaporator coil was clean and the drain line was clear with drain protection installed. Outdoors I washed the unit before taking any readings. The compressor and fan motor were operating within manufacturer range, the capacitor was within tolerance and the primary electrical control was in good condition. The refrigerant c

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met the homeowner. System is a 8yo Goodman dual fuel system. When I arrived the system was running but not cooling. I replaced the filter and the customer informed me that the evaporator coil had iced up. I hooked up my guages and found the system to be low on charge. I conducted a courtesy leak search but was unable to locate the leak point. I adjusted the refrigerant to get the system to 9 degrees subcool. System began to cool normally. The compressor and fan motor were operating within manufacturer range, the auxiliary motor starter was within tolerance and the primary electrical control was in good condition. I shared my findings with the homeowner and recommended they talk to our finance offer about issues they are having with their membership. System was cooling when I left.

Replaced TXV, pressure checked with nitrogen, pulled a vacuum and released refrigerant. System running normally at this time. Customer asked if the request for review could be sent to her email instead of her phone.

Comfort maker straight cool condenser with air handler installed in 2016. Electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. X13 blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel is very dirty and needs to be cleaned. Biological growth is present inside the air handler. 45/7.5 dual run capacitor is out of spec and needs to be replaced. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Highly suggest replacing the failure capacitor and adding a compressor saver and a germicidal UV light.

TXV bulb had shifted to the bottom of the vapor line causing it to read incorrect temps. Technician moved the bulb back to its proper location and readjusted refrigerant levels. System operating as it should upon departure. This has been an ongoing issue that is hopefully fixed now.
