Showed up to determine where leak in system was, located leak in condenser coil, customer does want to go ahead and use us to replace the coil, I will be replacing the coil. Customer spoke to me about there concerns and after all the conversations I feel the next step for conflict resolution is getting the sales manager involved.

Condenser and coil are from 2005 and are low on refrigerant and actively freezing up No water safety present and the secondary drain pan is rusted through Upstairs system has a 2005 furnace but a new condenser and coil Furnace ignitor and flame sensor are nearing failure Blower is extremely dusty and losing efficiency on the new AC system Both systems have biological growth present in the supply plenums Homeowner is aware of all issues and does not want them addressed at this time
Inspected machine, came from the factory with a hard start kit installed, pulled lra measurements on 5 different tries and got anywhere from 125.7 to 13. System is functioning as intended, technician offered soft start as an upgrade to the existing hard start. Customer took this as his unit is flawed and broken and believes he should be able to sign up on star plan and get unit replaced. But that is not how warranty repairs are made, we don’t replace components just because as that’s worse for the system than leaving it running in its normal state.

On this job I looked at the heating sides of the system. Heat pump has 30° TD. The heat strips use 20 amps a piece. System test in tolerance and is ready for heating.
Came to job for plugs not working and getting tripped and also a light flickering in room so ended up swapping out a switch cuz it was causing lots to flicker and sealed plug on outside but talk to customer about it and if it keeps persisting we will come out and replace GFCIs because did not see any issues with plugs that was causing them to trip
On this job I noticed he had low refrigerant. I changed his filter and washed the condensor. They system is now back online. He complains that his electric bills are high this is due to the low system charge. I recommend system replacement to gain efficient energy bills.
