For this eval I showed up to the customer's home and was informed the unit has not been working since january. Upon going into the attic I noticed this house is operated via a zone system and the fuse was popped. I replaced the fuse and jumped R&Y. After doing this the system ran for approximately 30 seconds and then popped the fuse again. Upon this happening I went to the condenser and the condenser was not running, I tested voltage and was getting 240 on the lower legs, but no voltage on the top or bottom because the contactor was not engaged, signifying there was no call from the thermostat. I checked the thermostats again and they were both in cooling and set to 68°, I went back to the Attic and tested the transformer and was getting 120 volts but no 24 volt call. I changed out the transformer and the system ran for another 30 seconds and popped another fuse. I tested voltage again on the bus bar at C&Y and R&Y with no voltage reading. I went back to the condenser and swapped out
For this super tune-up I inspected both units furnace and condensers. All equipment was measuring up with a manufacturer specs and running well. With the customers having 4 in box filters, I do recommend the AprilAire upgrade kit, for better dust capture unless wear on equipment overtime. Additionally both UV lamps were out therefore I recommend replacing those bulbs if they feel like they're beneficial to them, as well as installing compressor savers on both condensers to lower the amperage on startup. Lastly I do recommend home surge protection as they have both units and this will protect any damage during lightning strikes or major power surges.
Found leak on liquid line Corrected and adjusted refrigerant
During inspection discovered that tstat needed to be programmed after losing power and tested all components after and system was working properly Customer stated that she had a hallway light fixture that had gone out and I let her know I would setup an appt for a electrician to come out and take a look at it Set appt for electrician to return 4/24/24 first thing in the morning
During inspection verified that systems were working properly Spoke to customer about upgrading his uv systems to a better system so that they do more and the bulbs last longer and also recommend pan strips to prevent drain line problems Customer stated he would hold off for now but look towards getting some of it done in his fall tune up Left customers house with systems operating properly

Tech arrived at a 2 system tuneup. Upon inspection, the bedroom system was aged and dirty. This system was not functioning in cooling mode. There was air leakage that was repaired. The capacitors were within specs. The main system was also dirty. The drain line was clogged. The customer was informed of recommendations today. They decided to unclog the main system primary line and add a treatment strip to help keep the drain system clean. These actions were performed and tested. The customer will call back in to upgrade the filter and have the system cleaned. The bedroom system was not functioning upon departure.
